Welcome to Cadence ("we", "our" or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that you have a positive experience using our cycling application ("App"). 2. Information We Collect
2.1 Personal Information You Provide
When you create an account or use the App, you may provide us with:

2.3 Location Information
Precise Location Data: We collect precise GPS location data only when you actively start a ride and have granted location permissions. This data is essential for ride tracking, route mapping, speed calculations, and segment detection.
Background Location: With your explicit permission, we collect location data when the App is running in the background. This enables continuous ride tracking even when your screen is off or you are using other apps. You can disable background location access at any time through your device settings.
Live Location Sharing: During group rides, you may choose to share your real-time location with other participants. This is an optional feature that you control.
2.4 Payment and Subscription Data
When you subscribe to Cadence PRO or purchase training plans, we collect transaction-related information. We do not store credit card data directly. Subscription payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Training plan payments are processed by Stripe. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status and verify access entitlements.
2.5 Health and Fitness Data
We collect fitness-related data including distance traveled, speed, elevation gain, ride duration, and pedaling cadence. This data is used to provide ride statistics, track your progress, calculate achievements, and power the leaderboards.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App's functionality
- Track and record your cycling rides with GPS accuracy
- Calculate statistics, personal records, and achievements
- Enable social features including group rides, following users, and the feed
- Power segment leaderboards and competitive features
- Send push notifications for ride invitations, social activity, and maintenance reminders (with your consent)
- Personalize your experience and provide relevant content
- Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
- Analyze usage patterns to improve the App (in an aggregated and anonymous manner)

4.1 With Other Users
Based on your privacy settings, other users may see your profile information, rides, statistics, and activity. You control the visibility of your content through the App's privacy settings.

- Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, storage, analytics, and crash reporting
- Google Maps: Map display and route visualization
- Apple/Google: Push notification delivery and subscription payment processing
- RevenueCat: Subscription management and access entitlement verification
- Stripe: Payment processing for paid training plans and creator payouts
4.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.

Your data is securely stored using Firebase services provided by Google. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

After account deletion, we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as resolving disputes or enforcing our agreements).
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under these ages. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
